The setup is a 6PSI JRSC kit with I/H/E. During WOT, the guage usually peaks @ 7 or 8. Well, today it consistently peaked @ 9PSI.

Out of curiosity, is this due to guage inaccuracy (Autometer) or am I really peaking @ 9PSI on the 6PSI pulley?

Shortly thereafter, it seemed boost would peak at 9PSI during 1st & 2nd gear, then drop down to 5-6PSI around 5-6K, then jump back up near redline. Kind of confusing, but any ideas? Maybe improper belt tension?

When your boost drops down to 5-6 psi do you feel any loss in power? If so your belt(s) may be slipping. Otherwise, I'm experiencing similar problems. I'm running the 6 psi kit on a GSR with i/h/e and high flow cat and my Autometer tops out at 7.5 psi. Anyone else got ideas on our boost issues?

Man you guys are some lucky M@therfunker getting 9 psi out of your rides.

My 6 psi only shows 5.5 on the gauge, with no belt slipping or squealing.

I had to dish out another 200 bucks to see 9 psi...

I ALWAYS get the slowest car!!!!!!GRrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Well, I'm pretty sure the "motor" isn't seeing 9 psi, just the boost gauge. Since the boost gauge line is tapped into the manifold.

There was a topic on this awhile back......

I've heard that valves that need adjustment might cause a little boost variation. Is your valvtrain noisy?

Also check the line on the boost gauge. If it's crimped it will read differently.

Ill check the line today. I dont know if its innaccurate or not, because damn if the car didnt feel strong as hell.

I noticed Holden mentioned something about Lundgren's guess of a loose timing belt increasing boost. There is no noticeable ticking, although schedule-wise, I should adjust the valves.

I should also add, the guage read ALMOST an even 10PSI a couple days ago(after the original post)
